Applications & Funding Support

At Acorn Psychology, we offer assistance with applications that require input from a registered psychologist, including those related to accessing financial support or services for you or your child. Whether you're applying for government funding, accommodations, or community-based resources, we can help to provide the necessary documentation and professional insight to support your application. A few examples of applications we can typically support with are described below.

Disability Tax Credit
(1 hour)

The Disability Tax Credit (DTC) is a non-refundable tax credit offered by the Canadian government to assist individuals with disabilities or their supporting family members. The DTC is intended to provide financial support to help offset some of the costs associated with living with a disability. As appropriate, we can complete the medical portion of the DTC form.

Pervasive Developmental Disorders Funding

Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD) funding is a program offered by the Alberta government to support individuals with developmental disabilities. The program is designed to assist people with developmental disabilities to access necessary services and supports that promote their inclusion and participation in their communities. We can complete the required assessment to determine eligibility.
