Therapeutic Camps

Join us at Acorn Psychology this summer for our Roots and Resilience Small group summer camps.
Cost: $1200
​
Receipts for psychological services can be provided for insurance reimbursement purposes.
​
Camps will be held from Monday through Friday 9:30-12:30pm
​
​A 90-minute feedback session with parents following the camp to review key skills covered, discuss their child’s progress and areas of growth, and provide practical strategies to support and reinforce these skills at home and in daily life.

Roots and Resilience Camp for Kids (8-12 years old)
July 27-31 from 9:30am-12:30pm

This small-group, therapeutic summer camp is designed for children ages 8–12 who would benefit from support with social skills, emotional regulation, and confidence-building. Led by registered and provisional psychologists, children learn real-world social skills through guided games, structured role-play, and evidence-based activities. The program focuses on helping children:

Increase confidence in social and group settings

Roots and Resilience Camp for Teens (ages 11-14)
August 10-14, 2026 from 9:30-12:30pm
This small-group, therapeutic summer camp supports youth ages 11–14 in building the skills they need to navigate increasingly complex social and emotional demands. The camp will target:

Emotional regulation and distress tolerance

Decision-making and problem-solving

Navigating peer relationships and social pressure

Building self-awareness, confidence, and resilience
Through interactive discussions, real-life scenarios, and skill-based practice, adolescents gain practical tools to make thoughtful choices, manage challenges, and avoid common pitfalls such as negative peer influence.
This group provides a supportive, non-judgmental space where teens can develop insight, strengthen relationships, and build the foundation for long-term emotional well-being.
