Melissa earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology (Honours) and completed her Master’s degree in School Psychology at the University of Calgary.
About Melissa
Melissa is currently pursuing her PhD in School Psychology at the same institution. As a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Alberta, Melissa specializes in psycho-educational assessments and counseling for children and youth, focusing on Anxiety and ADHD. Her approach is grounded in current research, aiming to create a comprehensive and understandable narrative that connects the life experiences of her clients.
Through her practicum placements, Melissa has gained extensive experience working with a diverse range of clients, from preschool to high school, in areas such as Learning Disorders, ADHD, Anxiety, Giftedness, Intellectual Disorders, and Depression. She has also led small group interventions in social skills and reading skills and has supervised fellow graduate students entering clinical practice.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys hiking with her dog, Morris, planning her next travel adventure, and nurturing her house plants.
